Is Your Fruit Good?

Hey Candle Cousins, long time no talk! As you know, faith only takes as little as a mustard seed. As an entrepreneur and a mommy, faith is something you must have, always. As I continue to embark on this journey as a entrepreneur and mama, working my faith is something that I do daily! Kyce is 3 years old and in my opinion it is never too early to start talking to your kiddo about The Creator and all the peace that comes with giving Him our all. This year, Kyce and I are focusing on the fruits of the spirit. I had gotten confirmation when one of our pastors at church taught a lesson on “producing” that this was in alignment. If you find interest please don’t hesitate to let me know below in the comments and I will make sure it gets to you, oh how it blessed me.

Know that we all produce something, whether that be relationships, our words, our work, simply the way we show up in this world. Are you creating and producing intentionally? Are the seeds you’re planting really leading to growth? As I continue to put blame on the time I say I don’t have, the fact of the matter is this, what I choose to invest my time in, will eventually bear fruit. Eventually I will have an an outcome, whether it’s negative or positive. It’s up to me.

The key is being mindful of what we’re growing. In our minds, are we creating a space that encourages us to produce or are we buffering, avoiding the hard stuff. I tell you now, you don’t move in your brand, you’ll soon find out how and why it is important to keep a clear and clean mind. Are we nurturing habits an mindsets that bring us abundance or are we stuck in cycles that are putting stunts in our growth. Almost like that nasty fungus or bacteria that may harm the fruit during its harvest.

I know you want to keep yourself in check, just as well as I so because you’ve stopped by, I’ve got tips for you:

Keep consistent in your creativity. Please know that I am speaking to myself when it comes to this one. Say this with me, “My discipline to remain consistent will reap great rewards.”

Ask yourself and reflect on this here, “Does what I produce actually serve me, my tribe and those on the outside?

Faith and alignment check! Are you where you are suppose to be? Are you a full time mama questioning whether or not you should be working your 9-5? Is it time to make some schedule adjustments? Does your place of work give you reason to give them their time? Only you and The Creator have the answer to this.

Check out Galatians 5:22-23.

Incorporate prayer, breathing, journal writing and or basic yoga techniques if you’re comfortable while with your kiddo(s). I say this because you are your child’s greatest teacher and they learn best by hearing, seeing and feeling you. Your energy matters around them. Be intentional when it is time for you to take a pause. Call it out. Have fun and give it a code word, one that works best for your household. Create spaces for them so that they can keep up with these healthy habits. Just do me a favor and come back and thank me when you notice how this prevents hug arguments and melt downs as they hit those preteen milestones!

Just like your candle needs the right balance of wax, wick and fragrance oil to burn beautifully, the same concept of balance goes for the fruit we bear in our lives. Lets be more mindful of what we are actually pouring into relationships, work and faith to know that they are indeed good.

The Candle Cousin Community is here for you. Be sure to let us know in the comments some small changes you can make if this happens to hit home. What are you doing to make sure you’re bearing good fruit? Share this with a member of your tribe. I encourage you to be accountability partners these next 3 months. Come back and let us know how far you’ve come!

Happy Fruit Bearing
