Butter Art Fair 2024
The customer experiences has to be one of the driving points to brand awareness if one would ask me. How we make people feel after they have had an encounter with us is so important but sometimes it is overlooked. If you want people to return, you must leave a long lasting impression, you must give them a reason to want to come back and shop again. Give them a reason to want to have an online shopping experience with you.
This past Friday, I had the opportunity to vend outside the Stutz building during Butter, a Grapevine x Butter collaboration brought to you by gang gang. If you do any type of business or networking here in Indy, I am sure you have heard the name. Grapevine, The home of Naptown’s Kickback for Local Jams , has been a part of IATV’s journey since the beginning. DJ Grapevine, was in fact, the first individual to ever reach out and ask me to showcase my products, Here, I’ve been able to build long-lasting relationships and impacts that I know will help ensure the longevity of I Am The Vibe. Grapevine x Butter was a bit nostalgic for me as I am not able to do Grapevine as often as I’d like but the vibes from the dj, double dutch and vendors gave me all the feels and I am sure the attendees felt the same!
During the time out at Butter, my sister and I set up shop. Oddly enough, we brought the tent, set it up but ended up having to take it down! This was due to it being too far out in the walk way because I was placed right at a handicap parking sign. Go figure! There always seems to be at least one to two things that go wrong during a vending experience but luckily I’ve done enough, at this point, that I don’t allow much to get to me, I just get what I get and make it work. Sometimes you don’t get a “good” spot but I do believe that if you find yourself in a space to sell, wherever you are placed or wherever you place yourself is right where you're suppose to be. The customers you are meant to attract, will be attracted. The folks you are suppose to pitch to, will divinely arrive. Your only job is to be the vibe and make sure you bring EVERYTHING! I came across something once that said, you can't sell what you don’t take! If you don’t have much, don’t expect much. Much from your sells or your overall customer experience. No one wants to come to an empty table! Make sure your potentials have something to experience when they come see you.
I don't take any opportunity to share my brand for granted. While other brands may have overlooked this opportunity or just simply passed it up, this opportunity meant so much! With this year being year 3 for Butter, and the biggest thus far, I am glad to have experienced it the way that I did, because their just isn’t a guarantee that this opportunity will come back around and in the same way as this year. I learned not to be weary in my well doing. Although, I have further hopes and dreams for this business and really want to become more strategic in the areas of marketing and sells, I can only give honor to God for bringing me this far and for making I Am The Vibe a candle and smell good resource here in Indy.
